So, I have been meaning to post these pictures FOREVER. We got together with our good friends Alicia and Chris of Orange Soda photography in Las Vegas and did a double photo shoot. Here are pictures of cute couple Chris and Alicia, pictures of us coming up next (I put my wedding dress back on!):

Jill and Morgan, January 16th

Morgan and Jill got married in Everett on a lovely January day. We had photographed Jill's brother John's wedding to Jessie a while back, and it was great to see their family again. Jill and Morgan were so cute together, he made her laugh and they seemed very comfortable with each other.

Jill put on her finishing touches and they had their first meeting at their reception site, which was a great art gallery in downtown Everett, called the Arts Council Gallery. We did their formals at the gallery before heading over to the church.

Then we went back to the gallery, where the newly married couple was announced, and on to the festivities. Jill and Morgan had an extremely popular candy bar, so I couldn't resist getting a picture of their rings with two Hershey kisses.

Leia and Talitha's Double Family Maternity

We photographed Leia and Will's wedding in September of 2007. A super-fun couple, we were so happy when they contacted us to photograph their maternity session. As a bonus, Leia wanted to have a co-session with her best friend Talitha. She "thought they would never be pregnant at the same time." So, we did some couple pics and some family pics and some both family pics. It was a great time.

Best friends forever, aren't they cute together?

And I absolutely love this one of Leia. I thought she was very brave to do this pose:

Working Vacation

We are leaving on a jet plane early Friday morning for two destination weddings. The first is March 7th in Tampa (yay, Tressa and Greg!) and then we will be flying to Mazatlan to photograph Chelsey and Brandon's wedding on March 11th (we can't wait!). Jarreau and Amy's Maternity

We photographed Jarreau and Amy's wedding back in 2005. Such a sweet couple, we were thrilled when they contacted us to photograph their maternity session. Jarreau was pregnant with a baby boy. We started out at our studio, and then went to the Olympic Sculpture Park and the Downtown waterfront for some amazing shots.

We got to photograph the beautiful Tarte family on a fall day at our home studio and Matthews Beach Park. Their 3 girls had so much fun. Lots of personality. We like to take kids out to the park, and get some candid pictures in their natural environment. :)

Dawn and Irwin

So cute and fun with each other, Dawn and Irwin were a joy to photograph. We started out at Hamilton Viewpoint Park , where Irwin had proposed to Dawn. Dawn's fiery hair was the same brilliant color as the fall leaves.

We proceeded to Alki Beach, where we walked along the boardwalk and found fun places to take pictures.

I'm a little late on posting for Kyle and Ellen's anniversary. They got married last year on January 17th. From Texas, they decided to have their ceremony at the beautiful Kensington Gardens on what turned out to be a gorgeous, sunny day.

Kailyn and Colin, August 22nd

Kailyn and Colin got married at one of the most fabulous locations we have ever been to-- Lakewold Gardens in Lakewood, WA. I wish we had had all day to photograph the gorgeous bride and groom around the grounds.

We started at Kailyn's childhood home where she and her bridesmaids were relaxing and making themselves beautiful:

We proceeded to the site, where Kailyn and Colin got dressed and ready. They did not want to see each other before the wedding, but their dressing rooms were adjacent, so we had a few close calls.

Kati and Dan, August 15th

Kati and Dan got married on a gorgeous cloudy day at their home in Olympia , WA. Although Kati was worried about the weather, it turned out to be just about perfect. Not too hot, and cloudy is great for pictures. They had not only their huge backyard but their neighbor's as well. The guests could really spread out, and the kids at the wedding had a great time playing lawn games.

Their ceremony was so filled with laugher, joy and genuine emotion, I had a hard time not breaking down a little bit myself.

After the ceremony, Kati and Dan were so sweet:

We all went out to the beach for some more couple pictures. I love this part of the day!

Kids and Grandpas alike had a great time. They especially enjoyed the delicious pies from Boston Harbor Pies.

Kate and Reid, August 8th

Kate and Reid got married at the Picturesque Alderbrook Resort in Union, WA. They had so many unique little touches at their wedding. For example, each table had its own cake (I know, brilliant, right?!), and each cake had a cookie topper that was meaningful to the bride and groom (a cherished pet, perhaps, or a state that they had lived in). Each guest received a cookie cutter in the same shape as their cake topper:

I loved this aisle treatment of flowers and ribbons. Flowers were provided by Melanie Benson, who did a wonderful job.

After the ceremony, we got to take some couple and family pictures of Kate and Reid on the dock and grounds:

Another great touch, this table was filled with pictures of family members on their wedding days. The guests had a great time looking through these:

The dancing and revelry went late into the night!

Moon and Spencer, August 1st

Although Moon and Spencer had already tied the knot with her family in India, they wanted to throw a party for their friends and family in Seattle. And they also wanted lots and lots of wonderful couple pictures. We were happy to oblige. :)

Spencer's family had a long history at the Seattle Yacht Club, so it was the perfect place for their reception.

Caryn and Rhetick, July 11th

So I again have to post way too many pictures because the wedding of our good friends Caryn and Rhetick was off the charts. The day before the wedding, they led all their guests on a hike through the beautiful countryside of Pemberton , BC (guests could choose from 3 levels of difficulty). That evening, they had a colorful, simplified Bengali Wedding Ceremony at the North Arm Farm, performed by the groom's sister:

The next day, they had a Jewish Wedding Ceremony, with a Chuppah held by Caryn's family members. After their first meeting, we headed out on a (short!) hike to take some pictures by a lake.

I just loved all the decorations-- their colors were fabulous-- their wedding planner, Roxanne of Celebrate Events, did an amazing job. Here are Caryn and attendants in their tent before the wedding:

I enjoyed their wedding so much, I was inspired to make a Top 10 List of Things I Loved About Caryn and Rhetick's Wedding:

10) The blending of traditions, respect for each other's backgrounds, and cultural richness
9) Caryn's super photogenic big blue eyes
8) Dancing and frisbee throwing-- two great tastes that go great together
7) The unique bouquets (love that lacy surround)
6) The totally tasty and local and organic food
5) The rocking band
4) The Save the Date Crossword Puzzle
3) The bride HIKED in her wedding gown (a short hike, but nonetheless, impressive)
2) The first meeting napkin (Although Caryn did not remember their first meeting, Rhetick had actually drawn a sketch about it on a napkin which the best man had saved and presented to them framed on their wedding day. :))

And, drumroll please. . .

1) The Ice Sculpture Martini Luge!

Andrea and Chris, June 20th

Kati and Dan

We went out to Olympia to photograph Kati and Dan (and their dog!), who were so cute together!

Jing and Matt, May 17th

I am afraid I have to post an absurd number of pictures from Jing and Matt's wedding, because we had such a great time, and went to so many different places.

We started out at Bethany Community Church, where we did preparations and formals of the happy couple, their families and attendants. Jing and Matt chose not to see each other before the ceremony, so we did their before pictures separately.

Their ceremony was joyful and touching:

All through the reception, whenever Jing and Matt were close to each other, they always had their hands intertwined:

The Harbor Club was a great place for their reception, with amazing views.

Jing changed into her traditional Chinese dress for the cake cutting and tango. They pulled off the tango perfectly-- it was very impressive:

We really enjoyed photographing Stacy and Bob's very sweet ceremony and reception at their church, and downtown at the Edgewater Hotel.

I love the anticipation that comes right before the bride walks down the aisle, and so it is usually my job to stay with her while Bob photographs the processional. Here is Stacy waiting with her son:

To travel from the ceremony to the reception site, Bob rented a great car from British Motor Coach, Inc.. I rode with them to take pictures:

Kailyn and Colin

Kailyn and Colin are getting married on August 22nd at Lakewold Gardens in Lakewood. We got to photograph them with the Cherry Blossoms on the University of Washington campus (where they met cute at college). It was the first engagement session that we shot on campus where it was not pouring rain (!).

Kailyn and Colin were super cute together, although Kailyn was feeling a bit under the weather.

Then we headed over to Kerry Park in Queen Anne for some scenic views:
