I got tagged!

One of my fellow participants in the Anti-Workshop, and a super-friendly guy, Dustin Steller, tagged me in his blog. I am supposed to list 8 things that you might not know about me and then tag 8 other bloggers to do the same. Of course, he had to tag me right in the middle of our busiest time ;). Taking a break, then, from editing pictures, here it goes:

Eight Things you might not know about me:

1. I majored in religious studies in college, with a focus on Eastern religions-- Buddhism, etc. I really liked finding out about different belief systems around the world.

2. I have a Masters degree in couple/family counseling from Antioch. While it's great working with couples, I decided I would rather see them at the happier times in their lives :).

3. I have always been creative and loved photography. One of my first pictures was of my cat, in action (running). He looked kind of like a kangaroo.

4. I love love love weddings. Ok, I guess everyone probably knows that one already. :)

5. My five-year-old is starting Kindergarten this Fall, and I am so sad and happy at the same time. I am sure he will do great-- he is so social, inquisitive, and intelligent. But he will be moving away from the safety and comfort of home, discovering his own life, world and friends. And that is a little bit hard.

6. Bob and I just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We feel very lucky to have found each other. It seems like every year we find out new things about each other and fun ways to be together. Starting this photography business has been a real adventure, and I am so glad we did it.

7. I am a little bit of a TV addict. Some of my favorite shows right now are Weeds, The Riches, Psych, and The Simpsons (which I seem to have renewed affection for after seeing the movie). Since I do a lot of my work on the computer, I can watch my favorite shows at the same time ;).

8. Wedding photography has gotten me back in shape. Seriously. It must be all that lifting of heavy cameras, or squatting down to get just the right angle, or running around for 7 to 8 hours trying to capture every moment. I lose weight every wedding season, and feel great.
