We just applied for and were accepted into the Wedding Photojournalists Association: WPJA. We are very excited! WPJA refers clients to us who particularly desire and appreciate a more candid, photojournalistic approach to wedding photography. Although there are certain situations in which we might give some guidance to clients about posing (for example, during the formals or portrait sessions), for most of the day, we like to document what really hapens on your day. Our philosophy really is that people are beautiful, that you are beautiful, in everything that you experience on your wedding day. From the joy you feel at first seeing your spouse-to-be in their wedding attire, to the poignancy of the kiss your father gives you before he walks you down the aisle, to the playfulness of your flowergirl, to the warmth of being surrounded by family and friends, this is your day, and we want to capture it your way.
